General Care Tips
Charcuterie & Cheese Boards
DO NOT cut directly on the ocean resin portion of the charcuterie boards. To use as a cutting board, use only the non-resin wood portions or flip the board over and use the wooden cutting board on the back.
HAND WASH ONLY with warm water and mild dish soap and air dry completely before storing
DO NOT submerge in water. Prolonged exposure to excessive moisture can cause the boards to warp/crack over time.
DO NOT place any hot dishes on the boards or use the boards a trivet as excessive heat will warp the board and soften the resin.
NEVER place in a dishwasher, microwave, or oven
Avoid prolonged direct sunlight or excessive temperatures to prevent warping or fading
If the wood appears dull or cracked, you can prolong the life of the board by periodically re-oiling it with a food-grade mineral/butcher block oil (we recommend Walrus Oil Brand)
When storing, avoid stacking heavy objects on top of the boards as it can create dents in the resin over time.
Salt Boxes
HAND WASH ONLY with warm water and a mild dish soap and air dry completely with top open prior to putting any spices within the cellar.
Ocean Resin Ornaments and Keychains
Although the resin utilized is UV resistant, over time if exposed to direct sunlight or excessive heat, the resin may yellow over time. Some may like the more vintage look the yellowed resin gives, others may not. Thus, they are not recommended for use as car charms due to prolonged exposure to direct sunlight and extreme temperatures. These are designed for display within indoor temperature-controlled areas only. To prevent warping, fading, and yellowing, avoid prolonged direct sunlight or excessive temperatures.
Any minor smudges/streaks on the resin can usually be buffed out with a little 70% isopropyl alcohol on a microfiber cloth. Be sure not to get any rubbing alcohol on the backside of the ornament/keychain as it will wipe away the sealer on the back.
